June Reading Wrap-Up
Hello! Six months into 2024 and how is everyone's reading goals coming along? According to my book tracker I am 3 books behind schedule but such is life. I only read 2 books in the month of June but I have decided that that is perfectly fine. Sometimes, life happens and it’s hard to find the time or the inclination to pick up a book and read. It’s so easy to compare ourselves to others on the internet, often feeling like we should be reading more or reading something different. I know I am as guilty as anyone of doing that. I see so many people that have already read over 100 books this year and my first thought is always “How??” I work a full time job, have responsibilities outside of that, and sometimes just shitty mental health. So 100 books in 6 months is just not going to happen for me and that is fine. That’s my normal. Two books in a month is relatively normal for me. Sometimes I’ll read more than that, sometimes less.
